Pantone Connect extension is now free for a limited time

To support designers through the COVID-19 crisis, Pantone is offering its Pantone Connect extension for Adobe Creative Cloud free through to July 1st. The plugin – which integrates seamlessly with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign – provides access to the most up-to-date Pantone Color Libraries to use within these apps.

It offers search, sort and filter functionalities, conversion of CMYK, RGB, Hex and Lab values to the closest Pantone matches, and cross-referencing between Pantone Color Systems. In addition, you can create, tag and share colour palettes to the cloud, enabling collaborative colour workflow management.

Access to the plugin usually costs US$4.99 per month or US$29.99 per year. By offering unlimited free access, Pantone hopes to ease the financial strain for those who have been impacted by the health crisis. Existing subscribers have automatically received an additional three months of access credited to their account.

The company took to Instagram to encourage the design community to press on in these difficult times. “Adversity often inspires the greatest creativity,” it said. “We look forward to seeing what you create during this unconventional time.”
